Have you ever seen a sad face without a reason? Have you ever met people angry with life for no motivation? In my opinion, it is one of the worst things that can happen in a day. Instead, what I admire in people is the ability to spend time without complaining, but using a sense of humour to deal with their difficulties.
A sense of humour, in fact, is really important because it is the attitude that allows us to cope with life lightly. This ability consents to find the positive and fun side in all things, but, at the same time, who has a sense of humour is usually a really smart person: he understands when is the right moment for laughing and does not overstep the boundaries. In this sense, there are no disadvantages in laughing, but, on the contrary, it is extremely useful in our lives.
In conclusion, having a sense of humour is what allows us to laugh and enjoy life despite our difficulties and our limitations. As the philosopher Francis Bacon said: «imagination was given to man to compensate him for what he is not; a sense of humor to console him for what he is».
